Pre-Israel Program is something you cannot miss!

This program is only for all eligible Taglit-Birthright Israel:Ezra applicants that are completely registered for Summer 2009 trips to Israel, and want to guarantee their spot this summer.

The program is optional and those who don't participate in the program, still may be selected on the trip to Israel based on limited spots.

Due to major cuts on allocations for Taglit-Birthright Israel trips, Ezra USA will not be able to accommodate all of our applicants. We understand the desire of each of you to go to Israel this summer, but our sponsors can not pay for all of you. Even though our selection process is not based on person’s level of interest in the trip, we decided to offer a program for those who are not only interested in partying & having fun in Israel, but those who want to learn something new about Israel, Jewish Heritage & History before going on the trip. We believe such people deserve to be selected first, and therefore we are happy to introduce you our special pre-trip program Pre-Israel.

Unfortunately, people that live far from NY or those who can not attend this program because of different reason, will lose the opportunity to guarantee their spot, but they still have a good chance of getting in any of our summer groups.


You will learn everything you ever wanted to know about Israel in the weekly classes of the Pre-Israel Program, taught by our amazing madrichim (Group supervisors & Ezra volunteers), professional staff, and fascinating guest speakers. Your trip will become a meaningful and incredibly interesting adventure.

Pre-Israel is a once a week 2-hour session to help you learn about Israel before you go there. In 10 sessions you will learn about Israeli history, culture, language, society, food, etc. You will also get a chance to meet new friends that may be interested in be in the same group with you, meet your group supervisors & tour guides.

Please note: Your participation in Pre-Israel guarantees you a spot only if you attend more then 70% of sessions. If you stop attending the sessions after your receive your flight information, Ezra USA has a right to cancel you from the trip, because such behavior would be considered a fraud!!
